About me

Even before I ever set foot in Asia I was fascinated by this beautiful and diverse region. I visited many places in Asia and met the welcoming people, admired the landscapes and tasted the delicious food and it is the combination of culture, people and landscapes that keeps me returning to Asia, trying to find places that are not overrun by tourism or urban development. Many countries, especially India, China and the Philippines still have those spots which make you feel how special it is to be there.

I graduated in modern Asian history and although recently travelling is limited to holiday periods, reading beautiful books about Asia at home can be like travelling and placing yourself in other worlds.

To share with you my passion for this region and its literature I have put my favourite books on this site.
